Kitchen/Entry

The kitchen and entry area suffered from poor upkeep, and greasy surfaces and a persistent odor. The ceiling had sustained water damage that warped the cabinetry around the range hood. The original layout felt tight and disorganized, with inconvenient power placement and outdated finishes. The goal was to create a brighter, more functional space with modern cabinetry and improve appliance integration, while addressing electrical limitations and layout inefficiencies.

-Lighting & Electrical
Installed recessed lighting over the sink and entry.
Extended a two-way light switch accessible from both entrance and bedroom.
Added new outlet for refrigerator placement in side nook.

-Cabinetry & Countertop Work
Removed existing warped range hood cabinet ad damaged shelving.
Installed IKEA cabinetry with custom butcher block countertop cut.
Cut and Installed new countertops for both stove and sink areas.

-Appliances & Fixtures
Replaced old sink and faucet with new stainless steel fixtures.
Replaced existing stove with smaller unit for better space efficiency.
Added a new range hood for venting.
-Flooring
Installed light laminate flooring to unify kitchen and entry areas.

-Finishing Touches
Painted walls neutral white for cleaner, modern look.
Reorganized layout for optimal flow and storage accessibility.

Before and After Impact

This renovation transformed a dated, greasy, and water damaged kitchen into a clean and functional cooking space. The updated lighting, cabinetry, and floor unification significantly modernized the environment, while practical additions like the recessed fridge nook and shoe cabinet improved usability. The entry is now welcoming, and the kitchen is now both efficient and visually fresh-ideal for long term tenants and daily use.
